About Engage

Our Mission
We train students to engage people by connecting them with missional leaders, global Kingdom work and cultural intelligence.

Our Vision
Engage calls students to spiritual pursuit and cultural intelligence so they can be effective Kingdom workers.

Our Pledge
We train students to engage people.

Engage offers trips and service experiences for students of all ages, both domestically and internationally. Trips are distinguished in three categories to help you find the trip that is right for your group. Maybe you’re looking for a trip that you can take both your junior and senior high students on, or maybe you have a group of high school students who are ready to travel internationally. Either way, Engage has a trip that will fit your needs.

Both high school and junior high students are invited to participate in an Engage: Service trip! These 5-day, service-driven experiences not only allow students to serve families and communities, but also connect relationally with the people they serve. Students stay on college campuses and take part in a nightly program that features small group interaction, age appropriate worship, and biblical teaching. Engage: Service equips students to better engage their families, churches, and communities with a heart of service.

High school students are invited to travel the country with Engage: The City! These trips are generally 7-10 days with a more intimate group size, allowing students to connect with missional leaders on a deeper level. Through our domestic relationships with local Kingdom workers, students will dive into city-centered justice issues like hunger, poverty, education, and community development in cities throughout the U.S. Students are also equipped with training in cultural intelligence to help them both on the trip and in their own schools, churches, and communities as they come to engage different people and cultures. Different levels are provided to distinguish the trips that may be better for older or more experienced students.

Engage: The World trips are for high school and college students seeking a chance to travel internationally and experience ministry opportunities outside the United States with a small group. Trips are ranked based on a number of factors including: length of trip and travel, scope of work, ministry focus, and difficulty of language barrier. Higher ranking trips are only for older or more missions experienced students.

Beyond the work or ministry of each Engage: The World trip, participants spend time in cultural intelligence training, including an in-depth assessment, before, during, and after the trip. This training prepares students to be more effective Kingdom workers both in the present and the future. While on location, students take significant time building relationships with the local people they serve and learning about the culture they are immersed in.
