About

Know Sweat is service projects for student ministries.

His Heart.

His Heart.

Know Sweat wants every student to be in tune with the heart of God and his love for people. God calls upon those who reflect His heart to demonstrate that love to their neighbors. Know Sweat amplifies the call of God’s heart on students to love their neighbor by providing 5-day service trips.

Their Needs.

Their Needs.

People need assistance with the most basic physical needs that are often overlooked by society. Know Sweat recognizes those needs and partners with communities to find the elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals and families that need help. The need is met through youth groups that partner with Know Sweat to serve these communities.

Your Service.

Your Service.

Know Sweat connects your students and those they serve to the heart of God through service. The work projects consist of home repair, ministry outreach and community service. Your students have the opportunity to be kingdom workers by demonstrating God’s love for people in practical ways.

History

Know Sweat is a program of Christ in Youth located in Joplin, MO that began in 1995 with a single week of work projects. At that time it was called Jr. High Service Projects and was designed only for junior high students. Things have changed since those early days but the focus on service projects remains strong. Know Sweat has expanded the number of locations available and offered opportunities for senior high students to serve as well. Know Sweat still amplifies the call of Christ for junior and senior high students to be kingdom workers through age appropriate work projects. Life change occurs when the hearts and minds of students are challenged to demonstrate their faith in God and love for Jesus Christ by meeting the physical needs of people at a week of Know Sweat service projects. In 2010 Know Sweat will offer 16 summer service project trips in 10 cities in the United States. There are six junior high only and 10 junior and senior high weeks that are intentional and age appropriate at all levels from programming to project assignments.
