QUICK HITS for the Youth Leader

  • You can block out a CIY Mission Trip just for your group (must have at least 10)
  • Yes, we take care of the logistics
    1. Applications and the acceptance of participants (with your insight)
    2. All of the finances: contributions, receipts, transportation, etc…
    3. All communication between missionary/mission
    4. Pre-trip preparation/briefing and post-trip de-briefing
    5. …just show up to serve alongside your students and mentor them, we’ll do the rest!
  • CIY will send 1-2 leaders on the trip with you
  • CIY has been doing mission trips for 20 years

You can reserve spots on specific trips (based on availability) for 30 days by submitting a group contract and a deposit of $100 per person. Doing this gives you some additional time to allow your group to complete their applications while the spots have already been secured. After 30 DAYS, any spot for which CIY has not received a completed application from each student will be considered “non-reserved” and will then become open to anyone.

Minimum group size must consist of 10 students or adults. The male/female ratio should be of equal proportions, or of no more than two-thirds female.

All deposits for accepted applicants will be applied to the cost of their trip. All other deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Note: All applicants under a group contract must still complete all of the individual application requirements listed on the Apply page.

Words from Youth Leaders who have been on CIY mission trips:

“This trip opened my eyes to the potential within my students. I was able to participate along side of them as they led through VBS, street evangelism, work projects, and relational interactions. To watch the way they allowed themselves to be available was a true blessing to me. They stepped up in the midst of a culture that was different than their own and thrived because of it. God began to open their eyes to see that they had been wired with gifts and abilities.” – Mark Graham

“Trekking to Brooklyn, NY, with students from the suburbs proved to be a worthwhile experience, not because first time experiences were shared, but because impact was made. New York is a very difficult place to leave a mark, but fortunately there are many parks provided throughout the city that offer the opportunity for Christ followers to do just that. In developing a soccer camp, we were able to create a nightly experience for kids to learn, laugh, and play loudly. It is rare for students in the city to receive focused attention from so many people, in addition to playing in an organized soccer game with their peers, simply due to the lack of opportunity and limited access to wide open spaces. We did not change the city but we know we initiated change within the hearts of kids and their parents as we encouraged and loved them right where they were and ultimately gave them a glimpse of a greater purpose.” – Darin Mirante

“After hearing CJ (student participant) and I give our report on Panama, I have several youth who want to go on a mission trip. It definitely changed my life. This was my first ever trip outside the US, and I now have a whole different perspective on life. I used to think I had it bad at times, but after seeing what the Indigenous people have, or don’t have, in Seloy and San Felix, I realize I have SOOOO much. I’m less apt to go out and buy whatever it is I want now. I think before I do anything…including buying a meal at McDonald’s. We will definitely do another missions trip.” – John Hilts
