Showing the love of Jesus
God continues to watch over the team in Cambodia, as the work with Rapha House. The team has a wonderful opportunity to bond with these girls and lavish their love on them.
Each morning, the team has be able to led staff devotions for the RAPHA house staff, followed by Mary Zustiak teaching a quilting class to the RAPHA house girls that are enrolled in a sewing class. Others venture to the salon to allow the girls to practice modern haircuts, manicures, and Khmer makeovers on the girls from the team. They continue to be busy with afternoon projects, English classes, and volleyball/recreation camp. In the evening the team continues with teaching VBS.
Please pray for the girls and staff at RAPHA house. Continue to pray for protection as the team is in Cambodia, and that they will be able to show the love of Jesus on the girls. Keep checking back for updates and thank you for your prayers.
Team Arives Safely
The latest from Cambodia is that everything is going very well! Traveling was a little rough, as the expected 33 hours of travel, turned into about 48 hours altogether. God provided, though, and the group stayed together and arrived safely. Everyone is healthy and going strong.
Since arriving, the team has been quite busy. On Sunday morning Rick Howerton preached at Rapha House for morning service. After church the group spent the afternoon climbing a mountain, 800 steps total. (Apparently, they’re feeling the burn today!) That evening there was a welcoming party for the group which was a wonderful opportunity to bond with the girls. On Monday the team did devotions for the Rapha house staff in the morning and later that day taught English classes, worked in the salon, and held an evening VBS.
God is good, and the trip is going extremely well! Keep checking back for updates and keep praying for the team and the girls at Rapha House!
