Welcome to CIY’s only Rocky Mountain event. If you are looking for an event nestled within the mountains of Colorado, look no further. The Colorado MOVE offers more than just your average location. Not only is the scenery worth the drive to Southwest Colorado, but add in recreation options (both on and off campus) and Fort Lewis college and you have the recipe for a perfect week away.

Fort Lewis College sits on a mesa overlooking the town of Durango. This offers the perfect spot for any youth group to relax without worrying about the traffic and noise of a city campus. Our Colorado location is one of our best as agreed upon by our students and staff. The campus is removed from town only by elevation, which means you are not far from a great coffee and all the hometown eating you could want in downtown Durango. CIY has been with Fort Lewis College for more than 5 years.

Jordan Howerton Band

Jordan Howerton Band

The Jordan Howerton Band is emerging as one of this generation’s most energetic and authentic worship bands.  Rarely do you find a band as humble and servant minded as JHB.  They are a tight knit group of guys from the Midwest with an infectious spirit for the Kingdom of Jesus.  They lead thousands of people in worship every year while traveling to events and churches around the nation.  Their authentic leadership is seen on and off the stage.  They know the value in relationships and not just moments.  That is evident in the way they interact with the people they’re leading.

“Great songs, great sound, but that’s not what speaks the loudest with JHB. This is a band with a heart full of passion and desire for the one true living God! Know Him and make Him known is the resounding theme that calls out to everyone within earshot.”
   - Kendall Combes (recording producer for JHB and electric guitarist for Charlie Hall)

Brian Mills

Brian Mills

As Vice President of Student Development for Lincoln Christian University, Brian Mills helps students find their gifts, passion and sense of calling.
Brian enjoys serving the campus and the larger community through developing programs for student discipleship, community service, leadership development, preaching and teaching.
While in Dallas, TX for 10 years, he served in the inner city, at Denton Christian Church and Valley View Christian Church.  In 2002, he moved his family to Lincoln to finish his M.Div. and to serve LCU’s campus.  He is excited by the power of the Word of God to renew people and culture.
He loves being Chantell’s husband (18 yrs) & the dad of Ryder (16) and Rylee (14).  He enjoys motorcycle riding, hiking, the outdoors, jazz music, hot sauce, blueberries, almonds, coffee and adventurous foreign food (not together). Be careful when you’re on the county roads and highways around Lincoln—Brian is likely to be on his bicycle enjoying the heat of the day and the wind at his back.
