Internships

SuperStart! program interns will spend the 2016-2017 tour serving alongside the SuperStart! staff in planning, preparing for and facilitating SuperStart! events. This will include a variety of tasks from working in the onsite bookstore, to working behind the scenes preparing props, and helping produce the event. A time commitment and commitment to the program are required. Interns who are service-minded, detail oriented and have a heart for seeing the call of God amplified in the life of preteen students will find this program both challenging and rewarding. Operations

Details
• Required to travel with the SuperStart! staff to all tour stops.
• Work approximately 4-8 hours in the office each event week
• Meal money and housing will be provided while traveling.
• Pay is $350/event

Qualifications
• Graduated high school in 2015 or before.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to faith in Jesus Christ.
• Desire to serve others and be a kingdom worker.
• Experience in retail is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong in the following areas: Teamwork, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Spiritual and Emotional Stability, Physical Labor, and Self-Motivation.

Job Description
This position works primarily with the Program Coordinator and Operations Director for SuperStart! Responsibilities will include managing the onsite bookstore and various customer service responsibilities for each event. This person needs to be able to problem solve effectively and will need to be very organized. It is essential that you possess a healthy respect for handling money. You will also need to work well with others, and be able to multi-task. Self-motivation will serve this role well. In addition to work at each event, this position is required to work a few hours in the office each event week.. Generally this person should plan on working from September 1-November 30 and February 1-April 29, 2017.

Production

Details
• Required to travel with the SuperStart! staff to all tour stops.

• Pay is $300/event.
• Deadline to apply is Aug 1st, 2016.
• Selection date is August 15th, 2016.

• Desire to serve others and be a kingdom worker.
• Experience in producing church services or similar.
• Proven basic knowledge of A/V equipment.
• Strong in the following areas: Teamwork, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Spiritual and Emotional Stability, Physical Labor, and Self-Motivation.

Job Description
This position will work directly with our Production Manager. Duties will include heavy lifting, stage setup and teardown, A/V setup and teardown, event production, and might include helping troubleshoot technical problems on site. This person needs to be able to problem solve effectively and have the ability to sit/stand through our entire program. It is essential that this person works well with others, and is someone who can multi-task and is self-motivated.
