Southeastern University is a Christ-centered institution of higher learning. Their campus is in sunny Lakeland, Florida, meaning you will be treated to great weather and outdoor activities. Lakeland is a vibrant community with a small-town feel and plenty of things to do. If you’re looking for more, SEU is within an hour’s drive of some of the nation’s best beaches, as well as theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Busch Gardens.
**PLEASE NOTE** The State of Florida has very specific Adult Leader Screening requirements for events like MIX. These include fingerprinting and background checks through the State of Florida. Churches attending this event will be responsible for completing the required screening process for all adults attending the event prior to arrival. The estimated cost is $65.75/person. Please note that this specific screening process will be the only one that will be accepted - any other background check will not. For detailed instructions click here.

Kelly Thomas
Kelly grew up on a small island on the east coast of Florida. She left the island to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL to pursue her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Afterward, she was given the opportunity to get her master's in Ministerial Leadership…so she took it! She stayed in Lakeland and fell in love with the city and the relationships that she built there. To this day she remains in Lakeland where she is the Creative Director for Daughter is Enough. You can also find her taking photos, journaling, jamming (and maybe dancing…a lot) to music, hanging with friends, and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.
